01Who we are and what this policy covers

Ruckus is a creative agency based in Bengaluru, India, offering advertising, digital marketing, web design, films and events services. This policy applies to personal information collected through this website and through the contact details published on it.

It does not cover information handled as part of a client project under a separate agreement, or the websites and services of other companies that we link to.

02Information we collect

Information you give us

• Contact form (homepage, “Hotline Bling”): your name, email address, phone number and message.
• Job applications (Career page): your name, email address, phone number, message, the position you are applying for and, if you choose to attach one, your CV/résumé file.
• Direct contact: anything you include when you email us, call us or message us on WhatsApp.
• Meeting requests (“Schedule a meeting” page): your name, work email, what you would like to discuss, the date, time and length you choose and, if you give them, your phone number, company and notes. They are stored in our website's database and emailed to our team so that we can arrange and confirm the meeting, and we email you an acknowledgement.

Meeting requests remain in our booking database while we handle the request and any related follow-up. Records are not automatically deleted and may remain in the database until they are manually removed.

Information collected automatically

• Analytics and advertising measurement — only with your consent. If you choose “Accept” in our cookie banner, Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel collect information such as the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, device and browser details, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. See Analytics and advertising services.
• Technical information: like all websites, the servers that host this site receive technical details of each request, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request, so that pages can be delivered and kept secure.
• Embedded content: some pages include content or tools from other providers (for example YouTube videos). Those providers may collect information when you view or use them, under their own policies.

Information stored on your device

The website stores your cookie choice and, on desktop, whether you prefer the sidebar collapsed, in your browser’s local storage. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.

If you choose a language with the language switcher, a small cookie (ruckus-lang) remembers that choice for up to a year so that pages open in that language. It is sent to our website only to choose the language.

03How we use your information

We use personal information to:

• respond to your enquiry and discuss the services you are interested in;
• consider your job application and contact you about it;
• arrange and hold meetings you book with us;
• deliver, maintain and secure the website;
• with your consent, understand how the website is used and measure the effectiveness of our advertising (Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel);
• meet legal obligations and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent (for analytics and advertising cookies), on taking steps you have asked us to take (such as replying to an enquiry or considering an application), on our legitimate interest in running and securing the website, and on legal obligations.

We do not use information submitted through our forms to send unrelated marketing or newsletters.

04Contact-form and job-application submissions

Contact enquiries and job applications are saved in the website database and can be viewed by authorised team members in the admin dashboard. A résumé submitted with a job application is stored by Cloudinary and linked to the application; it is not attached to the notification email.

The website also emails submission details to the team inbox configured by Ruckus. Notifications are sent through Resend when configured, or through the configured SMTP service otherwise. The inbox address and the people who can access it are managed through Ruckus's email and deployment settings. The website does not integrate a separate CRM or recruitment platform.

05Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functions and, only with your consent, for analytics and advertising measurement. You can change your choice at any time on our Cookie Policy page, which lists the technologies we use.

06Analytics and advertising services

These tools load only after you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner:

• Google Analytics (Google LLC) helps us understand how visitors use the website. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
• Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.), on the homepage and the page shown after a contact form is sent, helps us measure the results of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. Meta may also use this information under its own terms. See Meta’s Privacy Policy.

If you choose “Reject”, or make no choice, these tools are not loaded.

07Third-party services and external links

The website uses or links to services run by other companies. Information you share with them is governed by their own privacy policies:

• WhatsApp (Meta) — when you use the WhatsApp button to message us.
• YouTube (Google) — videos embedded on some case-study pages, and our films on the Films page (loaded only when you press play).
• Google Fonts, cdnjs (Cloudflare) and jsDelivr — services that deliver fonts and code libraries to your browser; they receive your IP address in order to do so.
• Social media — our Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube and Pinterest pages, and client websites linked from our case studies.

08How information is shared

We do not sell personal information collected through this website or share it for third-party marketing. We share it only as needed to provide the services described in this policy, or when required to protect our rights or comply with the law.

• Vercel, which hosts the website, and Supabase, which provides the database used for meeting requests and admin account data;
• the email providers configured for the site (SMTP and, for some admin notifications, Resend) to deliver form, booking and account emails;
• Cloudinary, which stores resumes submitted with job applications;
• Google Analytics and Meta, only after you consent to analytics and advertising cookies;
• other providers described above when you use their content or services, and public authorities when disclosure is required by law.

Some providers may process information outside India. The website does not apply a separate technical transfer mechanism; any transfer is subject to the relevant provider's terms and applicable law.

09How long we keep information

The website does not automatically delete enquiries, meeting requests or job applications after a set period. Enquiries and meeting requests can be manually purged using an admin maintenance command after a chosen age threshold of at least 30 days; job applications can be deleted individually from the admin dashboard.

Deleting a job application from the dashboard does not automatically delete its résumé from Cloudinary; that file must be deleted separately. Email copies are subject to the retention settings of the configured email account and provider.

Google Analytics data is retained according to the setting in the Google Analytics property. The website code does not set that period, so the current property setting is not specified here. Other third-party services retain information according to their own settings and policies.

10Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information. The website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and form submissions are handled on the server rather than in your browser. However, no method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have the right to:

• ask what personal information we hold about you and how we use it;
• ask us to correct, complete, update or delete it;
• withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing that took place before you withdrew it;
• object to or restrict certain processing, or ask for a copy of your information in a portable format;
• raise a grievance with us, and complain to a data-protection authority.

To withdraw consent for analytics and advertising cookies, use the cookie settings. For any other request, email us at rajesh@ruckusae.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

12Children

This website is intended for businesses and adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

13Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page.
